Property and General Liability

The ACEC BIT Program offers a special Business Owners Package for property and general liability exposures for engineering firms. Features of The Hartford Package include enhanced coverages available only through The ACEC BIT Program that engineering firms need to protect against common industry risks and comply with typical client requests.

Workers' Compensation

Injuries to employees while at work are a very real risk to engineering firms, particularly related to jobsite observations, inspections, or investigations. Make sure you have the most appropriate coverage for your firm and budget.

Commercial Auto

Commercial Auto coverage is included within the ACEC BIT Hartford Program, providing up to $1,000,000 of liability coverage, including uninsured and underinsured motorist protection, physical damage and coverage for rental and non-owned vehicles.

Umbrella Liability

Umbrella Liability insurance (or Excess Liability) protects a firm from catastrophic claims by adding additional limits to the standard underlying coverages of Commercial General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Employer’s Liability insurance.

Cyber Liability

Cyber exposures are an emerging and increasing threat to engineering firms like yours, as with any business engaged in electronic communications and internet-based information and commerce. Fortunately, you can protect your systems and operations by purchasing robust cyber insurance.

Drone Coverage

The use of unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones is prevalent today, especially in the construction industry. Firms employing this technology need to purchase special or ancillary coverage to address this expanded risk.
